Starting this year, new across the board standards have been applied to training programs for nursing, pediatric and elderly care. The new training program takes three years. A prerequisite is a secondary school leaving certificate (Realschulabschluss). The new training is free of charge and more focused on practical skills. Trainees will be paid.
