These days you are facing hundreds of different news about Coronavirus in the world, but how it will affect your mental health?

The uncertainty and feeling of lack of control are what underpins most people’s anxiety. Now, more than ever, we need to keep our mental health in as good condition as possible. Recently the World Health Organization released advice on protecting mental health during the coronavirus outbreak.

Here are some steps to reduce the chance of Coronavirus-19 having a detrimental effect on your mental:

Limit the news and be careful what you read: Take breaks from watching, reading or listening to news stories, including social media. Hearing about the pandemic repeatedly can be upsetting. So limit the amount of time you spend reading or watching things which aren’t making you feel better. Have breaks from social media and mute things which are triggering: Be careful and mute key words which might be triggering on Twitter and unfollow that, hide Facebook posts and feeds accounts and WhatsApp groups if you find them too overwhelming. This will help you to have time away from social media, and watching TV or reading books instead. Avoid burnout: people should try to exercise, stretch or meditate — whatever helps you find your happy place. Stay connected with people: “Talk with people you trust about your concerns and how you are feeling,” the CDC says. Talking with people you care about will help to Increase numbers for self-isolation. If you’re self-isolating, strike a balance between having a routine and making sure each day has some variety.
