Additional Funding for Apprenticeship Mentors

The state government of Baden-Württemberg will continue to provide funding for so-called apprenticeship mentors in the skilled trades, commerce, and industry over the next two years. This funding will also support positions at the Chamber of Skilled Trades and the Chamber of Industry and Commerce in Reutlingen.
According to a statement from the Ministry of Economic Affairs, 2.4 million euros will be made available statewide. The goal of the funding is to stabilize at-risk apprenticeship relationships and reduce the number of contract terminations. This will help support individual career paths and meet the state’s demand for skilled workers, the statement added.

Preventing Dropouts from Vocational Training

During counseling sessions, the apprenticeship mentors work to resolve problems so that apprenticeships are not terminated.
Trainees and companies can contact the Reutlingen Chamber of Industry and Commerce’s apprenticeship support service free of charge and confidentially by calling 07121 201-780. Video calls are also available upon request.
The Reutlingen Chamber of Crafts also offers confidential counseling by calling 07121 2412-271.
