As part of its solidarity partnership with the Ukrainian city of Kremenchuk, the university town of Tübingen has donated a multi-purpose wheel loader to be used in the reconstruction of destroyed infrastructure, such as the heating supply. The city reported this in a press release dated March 5, 2026. Kremenchuk’s Mayor Vitalii Maletskyi thanked Tübingen and Mayor Boris Palmer for the vital support. The vehicle was procured through the Society for International Cooperation and the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development. Additional vehicles and a solar power system for decentralized electricity supply have already been provided through the program; furthermore, a bus converted for barrier-free access is set to be delivered to Kremenchuk soon. Tübingen’s partnership with Kremenchuk has officially existed since May 2024.
