Since Monday, 6 October, the Ammertalbahn railway has been running every half hour between Herrenberg and Tübingen again. The intermediate service between Tübingen and Entringen is also returning. This has been announced by the Ammertal Public Transport Association. There will be no more buses from this point onwards.
According to the association, it has been possible to reduce wear and tear on trains and tracks. This means that more trains are available again. However, tracks and trains will continue to be checked at short intervals. If new problems arise, the association intends to respond quickly. Wear and tear on tracks and trains was the reason why the Ammertalbahn was initially shut down at the end of August and only buses were running. Gradually, the first trains were put back into service.
Further information is available on the Ammertalbahn website.
