Train passengers in the Tübingen district must expect disruptions until at least the end of the summer holidays. Train connections in all directions are affected. Anyone wishing to use local or long-distance transport should check the latest information carefully.
By bus to Reutlingen and Stuttgart
Until August 4, there will be fewer trains between Tübingen and Reutlingen due to construction work. Starting Monday, August 4, the route will be completely closed. Only buses will run between the neighboring cities, and direct buses will run from the main station to Stuttgart and back. Travelers in Stuttgart will also have to make changes in August. There will be no S-Bahn service between the main station and Vaihingen.
Changes in the Ammertal valley too
Until Sunday, September 14, the timetable for night trains on the Ammertalbahn in Herrenberg and Tübingen will also change. In addition, from August 4 to 29, intermediate services from Tübingen to Entringen and back will be canceled. Passengers are advised to use the half-hourly basic services, according to the operator.
Changing trains to Balingen and Bad Urach
Passengers will have to change to buses for some journeys between Tübingen and Hechingen and Balingen. This is expected to remain in place until Wednesday, August 6. The reason for this is work on a bridge. It will also not be possible to travel from Tübingen to Bad Urach without changing trains. Only buses will be running on the route between Reutlingen and Bad Urach until the end of November.
