Deutsche Bahn is carrying out works: buses instead of trains

Due to engineering works, many trains on the routes between Tübingen and Stuttgart will be cancelled over the coming weeks. According to Deutsche Bahn, buses will run instead. The disruption will last from Friday 10 July at 9.00 pm until Saturday 8 August at 12.30 am.
The RE6 service between Stuttgart Hauptbahnhof and Tübingen is cancelled, as is the MEX18, which runs between Plochingen and Tübingen. The RB 63 between Reutlingen Hauptbahnhof and Metzingen is also not running. There are also no trains between Tübingen and Bad Urach during off-peak hours.
Meanwhile, express buses are running between Tübingen and Stuttgart. However, these do not carry bicycles. There are also hourly services on the MEX12 line between Stuttgart and Tübingen. Between Tübingen and Reutlingen, additional trains are running every half hour between 5.00 and 20.30.
Train and bus departure times can be found on the Deutsche Bahn website at www.db.de and in the DB Navigator app. A list of all changes, as well as the timetables and departure points for all replacement buses, is available online at:
