The biographies of young immigrants are diverse. So are their pictures in an exhibition in Mössingen entitled “But now I’m here”. For this, schoolchildren from Mössingen, Rottenburg and Tübingen reached for colours, pens and chalk.
The young artists come from different countries. Their lives so far have often been challenging: “Arriving, settling in, making friends, getting to know a different culture and embracing it,” according to the organisers.
Young art exhibited publicly for the first time
The pupils’ works will be presented to the public for the first time on Thursday, 27 November at 7 p.m. at the opening of the exhibition at the health centre in Mössingen (Bahnhofstraße 5). The introduction will be given by Dilek Aydin, the integration officer for the city of Mössingen, and curator Jochen Gewecke. An Albanian group will provide music and dance.
Info: The exhibition will be on display until Friday, 24 April 2026, Monday to Friday from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturdays from 7 a.m. to 4.30 p.m.
