Eating lunch together and meeting people

Enjoy a free lunch and chat with other people: this is possible at three Vesperkirchen in the district of Tübingen. Everyone is welcome there, regardless of which country they come from, how old they are or how much money they have.
The 5th “Vesperkirche unterwegs” (Vesper Church on the Move) in Mössingen kicks things off. It begins on Saturday, 17 January, at the DRK rescue station in Belsen. Until 29 March, lunch will be served every Saturday and Sunday from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. under the motto “Together, you don’t eat alone”. The Islamic Mosque Association will also be participating on the weekend of 7 and 8 February in the Tonnenhalle on the Pausa site in Mössingen. The individual dates and locations can be found at:

From hairdressing appointments to social counselling

The 19th Vesperkirche in Rottenburg begins on Sunday, 25 January, and runs until Friday, 13 February. Lunch is served every day between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. at the Protestant community centre in Kirchgasse—also available to take away. In addition, a hairdresser and a tailor will be offering their services on selected days during the first two weeks. The latest news will be published on the website

In Tübingen, the 17th Vesperkirche opens on Sunday, 25 January. It is open daily from 11:45 a.m. to 2 p.m. until Saturday, 14 February, at Martinskirche in Frischlinstraße 35. Doors open at 11:30 a.m. There are also numerous services on offer, such as social, legal and patient counselling, a doctor’s consultation hour, foot care and haircuts.
