During the fall break and the two weeks leading up to it, schools and companies are once again offering an internship week for all students in grade 8 and above. Under the heading “Five days, five professions, five companies,” pupils have the opportunity to get a taste of a different company every day. According to the Reutlingen Employment Agency, the internship days can be chosen freely between October 13 and 31. They do not necessarily have to take place within one week. Coordination is handled by the website www.praktikumswoche-bw.de, which, according to the Employment Agency, functions “similar to a dating portal.” Participation is free of charge. Students who want to do internship days outside of the holidays must obtain permission from their school.
In the region, 37 companies in the district of Tübingen and 38 in the district of Reutlingen offer places for taster internships.
