Intercultural sewing workshop exhibition

From February 5 to 28, works from the intercultural sewing workshop will be on display at the Tübingen City Library. The works were created as part of the “Passerelle” project. The opening will take place on Thursday, February 5, at 4 p.m. at the City Library at Nonnengasse 19.
Michelle Camila Pérez from the Tübingen Social Forum will start by talking about how “Passerelle” supports refugees. This will be followed by an upcycling workshop with Sofía Cervera from Colectivo Sur and Sofia Sanchez from 4:30 to 6 p.m. The workshop is free of charge and no registration is required.
Women from all over the world meet at the Intercultural Sewing Workshop to sew, embroider, and talk. Discarded materials are turned into new creations, which are now on display. The Intercultural Sewing Workshop has been in existence since 2022 and has been run by Sofía Cervera since the fall. The project is supported by the Tübingen Social Forum.
