International Weeks Against Racism in the district of Tübingen

Every year on March 21, the international day against racism is celebrated. The International Weeks Against Racism are organized throughout Germany with events and activities around this day of action. Under the motto “Protecting Human Dignity”, the International Weeks Against Racism will take place in Tübingen and the district from March 17 to 30, 2025. A diverse program with over 20 events such as lectures, readings and film screenings with panel discussions, workshops, interreligious encounters and concerts is offered. The program is aimed equally at adults, young people and children. It is organized by the Aktionsbündnis Vielfalt. This includes associations, charities, migrant organizations, initiatives, churches and many committed people in the district.

Examples include a day of action “School without Racism”, “Your Rap against Racism”, a creative workshop for children and young people, “Abandoned and left to fend for themselves in the desert”, an information evening about Europe’s deadly refugee policy, and the film about the Yazidi woman Hakeema Taha: “The Witness – Her Way Back to Life”.
