Language course for future educators

Educators in daycare centers are in high demand. In order to open up this career opportunity to people with a migrant background, the third “Kita Lingua” course will start in mid-September. This was announced by the city of Tübingen in a press release.

Eight months of intensive instruction
The project is a collaboration between the University of Tübingen and the city administration. Participants will receive eight months of intensive language instruction to reach the B2 level, which is required for training in the field of education. They will also learn the most important technical terms for training in the field of education. In addition, there will be workshops on intercultural competence and early childhood education.

Interest in working with children required
Participants with a migration background must live in Tübingen or the Tübingen district, have an interest in and competence in working with children, and be seeking training as an educator or social pedagogical assistant.
