At the Job and Training Fair on Wednesday, May 12, 2026, over 40 companies and institutions will be represented with information booths. The fair is specifically aimed at refugees in the Tübingen district and offers them the opportunity to learn about training and job opportunities and to speak directly with companies. You can come directly to the fair without registering.
Large and small companies are looking for employees
Large companies will be presenting themselves and offering information and opportunities for discussion, such as Deutsche Bahn, REWE Logistics, the Rösch/Rökona Textile Factory, and the UDO service organization of the University Hospital. Numerous small and medium-sized enterprises will also be represented. The City of Tübingen, Stadtwerke Tübingen, and the District Office are represented by their human resources departments and provide information on potential apprenticeships. A key focus is on organizations offering training opportunities in the healthcare sector. For job seekers in the hospitality industry, the Tübingen branch of DEHOGA (German Hotel and Restaurant Association) will be present.
Help with Applications: Photos and Resumes
Other attractive services are available to assist with applications: A photographer will take application photos free of charge; you should also bring your resume with you. The Tübingen-based educational institution Infö e.V. offers workshops on application training as part of the supporting program. Interpreters are available for people who are not yet fluent in German.
Advice services for job seekers and employers
Advice services are available at the booths of the Employment Agency, the Job Center, the Chamber of Industry and Commerce, and the Chamber of Crafts. The immigration authorities are also represented and provide information on the approval procedures for employment and internships.
Finally, the immigration authorities are hosting an “Employer Consultation Hour” to advise interested companies on how to recruit employees from abroad with a work visa.
The event’s partners are the University City of Tübingen, the Balingen-Reutlingen Employment Agency, and the Tübingen District Job Center. At the last job and training fair in November 2025 in Rottenburg, approximately 200 interested refugees participated.
