Siren tests on Saturday, 4 April 2026

In 2026, several siren tests will be carried out in towns and parishes across the district of Tübingen that have siren systems. The aim is to test that the systems are working properly and to familiarise the public with the warning signals.
The first test alarm will take place on Saturday, 4 April 2026 – with the alarm sounding at 11:00 and the all-clear at 11:45.
Sirens play an important role in civil protection. They are used to quickly alert people to dangers in the event of major incidents, severe weather or disasters. The signal urges citizens to find out about the current situation immediately and to follow the relevant safety instructions. Other warning methods are also used, such as cell broadcast, warning apps (e.g. NINA, KATWARN, BIWAPP), radio and television.
