Vacant apprenticeship positions in the Reutlingen and Tübingen districts

The apprenticeship year has begun. Nevertheless, young people can still find a company to train with. In the Reutlingen Employment Agency district, more than 1,100 apprenticeship positions are still vacant. 500 young people are still looking for an apprenticeship position.
According to the Employment Agency, the number of unplaced applicants has risen again. At the same time, there are still many training places available. According to Markus Nill, Chairman of the Management Board at the Reutlingen Employment Agency, young people have a good chance of finding a training place: ‘In purely mathematical terms, there are 59 applicants for every 100 company training places.’

Training support in the workplace
However, the regional training places on offer do not always match the wishes and qualifications of young people. For example, a company may require an intermediate school leaving certificate, while the applicants ‘only’ have a secondary school leaving certificate.
Assisted training—AsA for short—can help in such cases, according to the Employment Agency’s statement. A training supervisor from the job centre or employment agency acts as a permanent coordinator for the company and the trainee. They organise tutoring sessions, for example, or help with problems in the training company.
