Would you like to work as a journalist in an international team? Would you like to improve your German? And help people and society at the same time? tuenews INTERNATIONAL is looking for volunteers to work as authors or coaches, either on site or online. Many who have volunteered at tuenews have benefited from this experience in later job applications.
As an author, you will hear and see what questions are on the minds of friends and acquaintances. You will bring these up at the weekly editorial meetings, which usually take place online. Coaches who have worked as journalists will then help you with your research and writing. If you like, you can write in the language of your country of origin and, over time, in German. Sometimes you will also translate into the language of your country of origin.
tuenews INTERNATIONAL has been producing and publishing news on integration since 2015. Currently, five journalist coaches support around 20 authors whose flight ended in Germany. Their own texts and translations in Arabic, Persian, Ukrainian, English and German can be found at www.tuenews.de, on five Instagram channels, via their own tuenews app and the INTEGREAT app. The district of Tübingen supports the work of tuenews INTERNATIONAL.
