The largest survey ever conducted in Germany on the subject of discrimination, initiated by the Federal Anti-Discrimination Agency, will run until 28 February 2026. Anyone aged 14 or over can share their experiences of discrimination anonymously—online or on paper. The motto of the survey is: “Your experience counts.” Whether at work, at school or in healthcare, discrimination is part of everyday life for many people. How often it occurs, in which areas of life it occurs and what consequences it has for those affected is still largely unknown. With this Germany-wide survey, the Federal Anti-Discrimination Agency now wants to close this gap. The aim is to gain a comprehensive picture of experiences of discrimination in Germany. The results of the survey are expected to be published in early summer 2027.
The questionnaire is available online or in paper format. It is available in German, English, French, Turkish, Arabic, Spanish, Russian, Polish, Ukrainian and also in simple German. It is also available in German sign language.
The online questionnaire can be found here: Diskriminierungserfahrungen 2025
Here you can select the language in which you would like to participate.
