From Monday 13 July, the Ammertalbahn will be running to timetable again. This was announced by the Ammertal Public Transport Association. Due to problems with the diesel trains, services on the route have been cancelled since the end of June and replaced by buses. On the initiative of the association’s chairman, Hendrik Bednarz, and managing director, Sarah Wüstenhöfer, discussions were held with DB Regio. DB Regio intends to deploy additional electric replacement vehicles in future, respond more quickly to disruptions and provide better information. There will also be additional maintenance shifts at the workshop.
