Anyone wishing to apply for social assistance in Tübingen can now do so digitally around the clock. An application form can be downloaded from the city’s website at www.tuebingen.de/sozialhilfe-online and filled out on screen.
The required documents can be uploaded as files. The information and documents are then sent directly to the city’s social assistance department, where they are processed by staff.
Social assistance application should be user-friendly
According to a statement, those involved placed particular emphasis on ensuring that the application is user-friendly and intuitive to use. Applicants are guided through the application step by step. Mandatory fields are clearly marked, and explanations can be clicked on individually.
Tübingen is one of the first cities and municipalities in Baden-Württemberg to offer digital social assistance applications.
Paper social assistance application
As an alternative to the online application, it is still possible to apply for social assistance on paper. For advice and to submit an application, you can come to the social assistance consultation hours in person. These take place every Monday and Wednesday from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at Derendinger Straße 50 in Tübingen. No appointment is necessary. Individual appointments can be made by calling 07071 204-1850.
