The first “Unity Hub” for Ukrainians has been in operation in Berlin since mid-April 2026. According to the Federal Ministry of the Interior (BMI), it serves as a central point of contact in Berlin for Ukrainians who have fled to Germany as a result of Russia’s war of aggression, which violates international law. The Ministry of the Interior and the Ukrainian government were involved in the opening.
Germany is the first country with which Ukraine has signed a joint declaration on the establishment of such a center. The “Unity Hub” is intended to serve as a contact point for the Ukrainian diaspora, strengthen ties with Ukraine, and provide reliable information—particularly regarding a possible return. Plans include not only counseling on social issues but also educational, cultural, and integration programs. The hub is intended to offer Ukrainians in Germany practical support and guidance.
