The city of Tübingen will be testing its flood sirens in Bühl and Lustnau on Saturday, 4 July, according to a statement from the press office. The test will begin at 11.00 am with a one-minute wailing tone. At 11.45 am, the all-clear will be sounded by the two sirens in Lustnau with a one-minute continuous tone. In Bühl, an all-clear signal is not possible for technical reasons. The flood sirens enable the fire brigade and emergency services control centre to warn residents if there is a risk of flooding in their area.
Further information on the siren warning system in Tübingen is available at www.tuebingen.de/krise. You can also listen to the two siren tones there.
Sirens will also be sounding as part of a test in several other municipalities in the district on this day.
