Four years ago, Russia launched its war of aggression against Ukraine. To mark this occasion, several events and activities are being held in Tübingen.
On Saturday, 21 February, at 3 p.m., the Ukrainian community in Tübingen and the Seventh-day Adventist Church are hosting a benefit event entitled “Ukraine—the place where truth stumbled”. The event will take place at Moltkestraße 26 in Tübingen.
On Sunday, 22 February, at 12 noon, the Kino Museum cinema, with the support of the independent initiative Sonnenblau Tübingen, will show the award-winning film “2000 Metres to Andrijiwka”.
On Tuesday, 24 February, a solidarity event will begin at 5:45 p.m. at the Holzmarkt. The organisers include Tübingen clubs and associations such as Grüne Jugend, Junge Europäische Föderalisten, Junge Liberale, Junge Union, Jusos, SonnenBlau, the Tübingen hilft Ukraine association and the Ukrainian community in Tübingen.
Afterwards, at 7 p.m., the Kino Museum cinema invites you to a film screening followed by a discussion. The film “Because We Have To” will be shown. The event is organised by the Competence Centre for Eastern, South-Eastern and Central Europe (KOSME).
KOSME is also organising a lecture entitled “The (in)visible reality of Russia’s war against Ukraine” on Wednesday, 25 February at 7:15 p.m. The event will take place at the German-American Institute (d.a.i.), Karlstraße 2.
