Mental health plays an important role in everyday school life. School psychology counselling centres in Baden-Württemberg, such as the one in Tübingen, offer targeted, free support for schools and families in this regard.
Since 2019, these centres have been part of the Centre for School Quality and Teacher Training (ZSL). Its mission is to systematically improve the quality of education. At the same time, the counselling centres remain regionally based and easily accessible.
From learning difficulties to school refusal
The service is aimed at pupils, parents, teachers and school management. The focus is on issues such as learning difficulties, exam anxiety, concentration problems, bullying or school refusal. The aim is to work together to develop suitable solutions.
The counselling is voluntary and confidential
The counselling is free of charge, voluntary and confidential. It is provided independently and tailored to the individual situation of those seeking advice.
Networking within the education system
The counselling centre works closely with schools, school counsellors and other areas such as special needs education and educational guidance.
